STOP PRESS  No such thing as an easy win in this age category. Both the Singles and the Doubles final went to three games, with the defending champions successfully retaining their titles only after the closest of contests. The Singles saw an impressive performance from debutant Giles Munn, who fought his way through the field from 1st round to the final; the Doubles remains memorable among other things for Tom Kiggell and Dwight Murdoc playing in both round robins, in one group as Kiggell & Murdoc and in the other as Murdoc & Kiggell. Mr Hawke, ever inventive.
