James Tilston

Twice a winner of the President’s Cup and twice a winner of the South East Open Doubles, James Tilston is a formidable two-handed doubles specialist. He learned his Fives at St Paul’s School and is a stalwart member of the title-winning Old Paulines Club. James plays these days mostly at Alleyn’s with the Edward Alleyn Club, whose courts he rates highly, but he also likes Oundle and Cambridge. Having studied at Durham University it’s no surprise that the North of England Open is his favourite championship, and on the rare occasions he gets to play with him, his favourite partner is Julian Aquilina.
