Louise Mathias

Louise learnt to play Fives at Christ’s Hospital, where she won the Schoolgirls’ National Championships in all her age-groups before joining the West of England Club in 2015 while studying at Bristol University. Here, on the Clifton College courts, she developed the retrieval and defensive skills upon which her attacking play is based and which have moved her to the top of the Ladies’ game. Louise has won the Ladies’ U23 titles in Singles and Doubles, the National Women’s Singles and Doubles, and the National Winchester Fives Mixed Doubles, each of them multiple times, making her the undisputed Number 1 in the current Women’s Rankings.
