Stop Press It was a weekend of firsts at the Scottish Open Championships. Dan Grant achieved a well-deserved and long-awaited first regional Singles title, beating Universities Singles champion Andrew Boyd in the final, and Penn Chai & Lewis Keates teamed up to win the Doubles title, against Andrew and his partner Ben Jourdan, the current Universities Doubles champions. It was Lewis’s first open title, hopefully the first of many for this stalwart of the Derby Moor Club; for Penn it was a second successive title in Scotland.
In the Plates Ben Jourdan just pipped Penn Chai in the Singles, while Enrique Castillo Carbonell & Simon Fraser took the Doubles.
