STOP PRESS With players from 9 universities — Bristol, Cambridge, Derby, Durham, Edinburgh, Oxford, Oxford Brookes, Warwick and West of England — co-organisers Andrew Boyd and Ben Jourdan achieved a long overdue double, with Andrew winning the Open Singles title at the expense of defending champion Marcus Cloke Browne, and with Ben and Andrew then securing the Doubles trophy. Phoenix Fleming and Megan Wells from Durham University followed up their recent success at the Durham Women’s Championships by winning the Women’s Singles (Phoenix) and then the Doubles together. Players of both  sexes from Cambridge had a very much silver and bronze medal day, and a new pairing from Warwick, Isaac Weaver and Patrick Harrison, made it to the final of the Open Doubles.

Warm thanks to Ben and Andrew in their last year as organisers, to the Cambridge University Club for hosting, and to all the players for making it through two long days of impressively competitive Fives with some very protracted contests in all areas.
