STOP PRESS As usual Brian Kirk organised a superb full day’s Fives, with 6 different competitions played out by the end of the afternoon. With guests in action from Berkhamsted, Durham and Manchester, as well as old friends and several home players, there were new names to be added to the Roll of Honour: Camille Beattie the first female to win the main competition; Vishal Singh making his first final; Dan Swinbank and Adam Hicks from Durham meeting in one plate final; young Val Fikhter from Manchester winning the main plate trophy in his first adult tournament; RFA General Secretary Chris Blakeley marking his first visit to Derby Moor with a win in the seniors contest.
