LONDON OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Whitgift School, Croydon, London, 28/29th September 2019

Entries are now being accepted for the London Open Championships, which are again being organised by Will Ellison — back after a year’s break. The event will take place at Whitgift School in South London, using the new Wiseman ball and following the regular format: singles on the Saturday, with the singles final and doubles on the Sunday.

There will also be singles and doubles plate competitions for those knocked out in the early rounds, with the exact format decided on the day.

There is also a survey on the entry form to gauge interest for a ‘B’ tournament — which would run alongside the main event. It would not involve the top players, but would earn ranking points, and competitors would be able to enter this event directly.

It’s not certain that such an event will take place at Whitgift this year, but one could — as well as at other RFA events in the future — so players are asked to complete this survey, whether or not they are able to play at Whitgift this year.
