National Schools Tournament, St Paul’s School, Barnes
26-28 March 2022
The organisers are now accepting entries for the National Schools Tournament, which will run from Saturday 26th to Monday 28th March at St Paul’s School in Barnes, London. The U16s and U18s categories will run over all three days of the tournament, with the U14s over the final two days.
Inevitably, given the global pandemic, arrangements are provisional, but as things stand, The RFA is hopeful that everything can run as normal. That means that parents are welcome to attend, and the tournament will run as follows:
• In the U18s tournament, the top eight seeds will automatically proceed to the round of 16, and will not have to play in the group stages. These seedings will be based on results from January’s West of England Championships, the regional championships (which are currently taking place) and some discretion from the organising committee.
• As usual, there will be plate competitions, with the exact details to be published when the organisers have confirmed numbers for the main draws.
• For schools staying in London with U14s and U16/U18s, the RFA will aim to provide a couple of hours of court time for the U14s on the Saturday, so they are not sitting around all day. The organisers will work out how this is incorporated into the schedule nearer the time.
