The RFA is delighted to report that Rugby Fives has had some excellent coverage on the radio ahead of this weekend’s National Ladies Championships. In fact, no less than two sections of the Stacey Copeland show on BBC Radio Manchester were devoted to the game.
In the first, RFA Deputy President Julie McIntyre explained to the host just what the game entails and where the sport’s name comes from. She also looked forward to the championships, as well as encouraging more women and girls to take up the game.
And in the second, Julie is joined by David Fox, head coach at the Manchester Y Club. Together they chat about the joy of playing the game, as well as the camaraderie around the country, before David explains when and where they play in Manchester.
