Rugby Fives Association, September 2021

Now the new season is underway it’s time for more ladies’ fives! Here are three events for you to get playing!

 

Saturday, 16th October The Lady’s Cup at Cambridge. Come and play on the superb new indoor courts at Cambridge University. A day’s Fives designed specially for beginners and young players. Contact Bob Dolby on bobdolby5@gmail.com for more information.

 

Saturday/Sunday 6th-7th November The 3rd Durham Ladies Tournament on the Durham University Courts, run by Julie McIntyre on behalf of the City of Durham Fives Club.

There will be an open Singles competition on Saturday and Doubles on Sunday, with a dinner on Saturday night.
There will be age-banded medal events if time allows, and there will be Ranking Points up for grabs!
The Club can provide some billeting, or advice on accommodation in Durham.

Please contact Julie McIntyre at club@cityofdurhamfives.uk for more information and to make entries, giving an idea of playing standard, and an age band for juniors (eg. U14, U16, U18).

 

Saturday 4th December The National Ladies U23 Championships at St Paul’s School, Barnes. This ranking tournament is designed to cater for schoolgirls, students and club players in the Under 23 age bracket. It will consist of competitions in Singles and Doubles, and will be run by Ibby Lee. More information will be published in due course.

 

And make a note: In January the National Ladies Rugby Fives Championships will take place in Manchester!
