London League, 20th February 2025
As the colder winter weather (hopefully) gives way to a warmer spring, competition is hotting up in this season’s London League. And it’s last year’s champions, the Edward Alleyn Club, who are leading the way again.
Although the EAC has only played two matches so far, its 100% record means it sits in top spot in the league table, ahead of its rivals, the Executioners, the UCS Old Boys and the Stoke Newington Swifts (SNS).
After wins over UCS and SNS, the Executioners sit in second place – where they finished last season – with Stoke Newington and UCS in third and fourth place, respectively.
Inspired – and organised – by Shinan Zhang, the league sees home and away matches between the four clubs being played over a 12-month season. The encounters take the form of a standard four-a-side match, with singles and doubles matches counting towards an overall match score.
Keep an eye on the RFA’s social media feeds for details of the subsequent matches as they happen – all of which will be recorded on the league’s dedicated page on this website.
