STOP PRESS An entry of 23 players from 6 Midlands schools, 18 of them in the U18 section, saw a long and competitive day of Fives, organised by Alex Smith and kindly hosted by Oundle School. The honours were shared, with Rugby School U18s winning titles at the expense of Derby Moor in the Singles and Stamford School in the Doubles. In the small U15 section Hari Jones from Stamford won gold in the Singles, which was played as a round robin, and then paired up with Connor McNaughton in the U18 Doubles to take silver. In the U15 Doubles it was the young Rugby pairing who enjoyed success, beating Derby Moor’s representatives in a best-of-three final.
