STOP PRESS In all 39 boys and girls from 6 schools were involved in this year’s championships. Rugby won the U18 Singles and Doubles, while Stamford did the double in the U15 category. Organiser Alex Smith ran further competitions at Under 14 level.

In addition there was a further Mixed Junior Singles competition, involving 14 players from Stamford, Rugby and Bedford Modern, which was won by Toby Jones (Stamford) from Matty Bogan (Stamford) by 11-7. There was also a Girls’ Plate competition won by Diya Dhokia (Rugby) from her schoolmate Evelina Billaud 11-9.
