3 National Singles qualifying events completed; Draw published

Over the weekend of November 11-12 three qualifying events were held for the National Singles Championship to be held at St Paul’s School the first weekend of December. From these tournaments 12 players will qualify to join the four top-ranked players contesting the Jesters Cup: defending champion Dan Tristao, Ed Kay, Will Ellison and Ben Beltrami. 

In London 18 players were in action, the top four seeds being Tom Watkinson, Julian Aquilina, Charlie Brooks and Sam Russell. Others competing for the coveted qualifying slots included Gwydion Wiseman, James Tilston, Cameron Low, Penn Chai, Archie McCreath and Marcus Cloke Browne. 2nd seed Julian Aquilina emerged as the winner, beating Sam Russell in the final.
 
18 players took part in the event at Rugby School, including 4 from Derby Moor Fives and a substantial entry from Rugby School and staff. 2nd seed Oscar McIntyre from Manchester & Durham won, beating Lewis Keates in the final.
 
In Edinburgh 17 pupils, students and members of the Caledonian Club contested the qualifier, with Richie Murby emerging as the winner in a final played against Ben Jourdan.
