BUSF Championships
Sherborne School, 21st/23rd November
The organisers are now accepting entries for the British Universities & Student Fives (BUSF) Championships, which will be held at Sherborne School from November 21st to 23rd.
As previously announced, these will be the first student championships for some time to be held without the support of BUCS, but for anyone who enters, there will be precious little obvious difference. The event will be under the total auspices of the Rugby Fives Association and with the same organisers; the only real difference is that BUCS points will no longer be awarded.
A number of minor changes will occur, including a smaller entry fee and a raising of the lower age limit, bringing it into line with new Government policy on compulsory further education and training up to the age of eighteen. It is hoped that University Athletic Unions will continue to support the event, but if anyone finds problems, then please contact the organiser (David Gardner), who may be able to arrange some sort of assistance, particularly with those individuals travelling long distances, or universities wishing to enter large numbers in their team.
The closing date for entries is Thursday October 30th, and University captains are invited to submit their teams using the form, which can be downloaded from the link below.
