STOP PRESS With a change of venue and a reduced field of 24 organisers Hamish Buchanan and Alex Smith opted initially for 4 groups, followed by the usual 4 competitions, all best of 3 to 15. The eventual winners of the Cup, the Plate, the Mug and the T-Pot (see photographs below) must have been as tired as ever!
Dave Hebden notes that in winning the Love Mug, Holly became the third female player to win a President’s Cup trophy; the others being her sister Martha, who won the main event with Ed Kay in 2018, and Louise Mathias, who has won both the Mate’s Plate (2019) and the Love Mug (2018).
