A total of 43 players entered the National Singles Championships this year, with a particularly strong turnout in London. Incredibly, this event was won by 16 year-old Freddie Hammond Giles, who defeated four of the top eight seeds along the way. Lewis Keates won in the Midlands event, which was played on the courts of Rugby School, beating Ander Iraizoz in the final – Ander will make his first appearance at the finals. Up in Scotland, Richie Murby continued his qualifiers winning streak and will venture down south to take on the others.
