National Schools Championships

St Paul’s School, Barnes, 25th-27th March

Organiser David Butler is delighted to confirm full details for this year’s National Schools Championships, which are returning to their usual place in the calendar. The U14s, U16s and U18s categories will all be played at St Paul’s School, Barnes, between 25th and 27th March.

The schedule will be as follows:

The U16s & U18s categories will be played over all three days. The organiser will do his best to have as many people finished in the first two days as possible, but this depends on numbers etc. However, all finals (including the plate finals) will have to take place on Monday 27th.

The U14s event will happen on the second and third days of the event: the singles will take place on Sunday 26th and doubles on the following day.

Every day, the hours of play will be 9 am – 6 pm. For players who are travelling particularly far, David can probably arrange a slightly later start time. But given that the RFA is condensing what has traditionally been a four-day tournament into three, it will mean longer days.

The organiser is now accepting entries, and to enter players, schools should drop an email to the organiser (david.butler@rugbyfives.com), preferably one email for each school, including the whole squad.
