STOP PRESS In a relatively small entry for the Singles competition National Singles champion Ben Beltrami emerged triumphant, winning his first regional Singles title at the expense of Julian Aquilina in a well contested final. City of Durham’s Oscar McIntyre, who is playing his Fives in term time on the Manchester courts, won the Plate with some comfort from Derby Moor’s Anthony Goodwin.

In the Doubles there were just four pairs. They played out a series of group matches, from which a final and a Plate final were established. Beltrami & Brooks won the main final against Julian Aquilina & Theo Parker, while Oscar McIntyre & Mike Suddaby won an all-Y Club contest versus organiser Dave Fox and his partner Marco Skogh.
