There was a disappointingly small entry for this event, which was compounded by an injury to one of players early in the proceedings. However, the 2024 Singles champion Kirsten Bell was outstanding in defence of her title, beating Lena Barton and Savanna Leboff with relative ease in a round robin.
In the Doubles Kirsten’s partner of last year, Sophie Lundie, was unable to enter, so Savanna teamed up with Kirsten to take on Oxford University’s 1st pair of Lena Barton & Abbie Evans. The final score does not do justice to the quality of the contest. Kirsten did the double once more, and Savanna regained the title she won with Holly Nugent in 2021 when the competition was the U23s.
