Young players progress in the updated Women’s Rankings

New Women’s Rankings in Singles and Doubles, kindly compiled by Chris Burrows, reveal significant gains by young players after the recent National Schools Girls Championships. Jemima Mitchell from Blundell’s School, twice a winner of the Singles and Doubles competitions, enters the Top 10 in Singles at #9 and rises from #42 to #18 in the Doubles. Her partner Natalia Talbot rises likewise to #24 in Doubles. Other players from Alleyn’s School enjoy substantial progress: Diva Tiwari, Annie Guo and Emily Erdmeier in Singles particularly, plus Daisy Barrow from Eastbourne College. Camille Beattie, Shinan Zhang and Helena Tunks continue as the dominant senior players, with Kirsten Bell, Lizzie Ware, Zara Elliot and Savanna Leboff progressing well in Singles and Sophie Lundie along with Kirsten and Savanna again in Doubles.
