Success for Kay and Ellison at the West of England Open

STOP PRESS Ed Kay added a second West of England Open Singles title to his record while beating both Will Ellison and Dan Tristao in the process. Ed went on to record a fifth consecutive Doubles title with partner Will Ellison, for whom it is an eighth Doubles title, having previously won twice with Hal Mohammed and once with Hamish Buchanan. Sam Russell won a closely contested Singles Plate, beating Chris Davey in the final; Old Blundellians Boris Ames and Will Bucknell won the Doubles Plate, beating a number of more experienced pairs in the process.
